Siemens digital industrial software and UMC have recently reached a cooperation to jointly develop a process design kit (PDK) suitable for the 110 nm and 180 nm BCD technology platforms of UMC. Lianhua electronics is a global semiconductor wafer industry, focusing on logic and special technology. The new PDK developed for Lianhua electronics has been targeted at Tanner of Siemens EDA ™  Customized design process tools are optimized to support innovative design of various integrated circuits (ICS) in automotive and power applications.
The customized IC design suite of Siemens EDA is built with its Tanner software, which can be used in the BCD process of Lianhua electronics at present. The 110 nm and 180 nm BCD platforms of Lianhua electronics provide first-class chip design kits and integrated product solutions for applications requiring power management IC (PMIC), battery management IC (BMIc) and fast wireless charging IC.
BCD technology provides power IC design with operating voltage up to 100V, which can achieve excellent performance, and highly integrate analog circuit and digital content, as well as power components and embedded NVM.
